Joe GOW UNIVERSITY of WISCONSIN, LA CROSSE I was fortunate to be involved with CCAS for perhaps the eleven most formative years of my administrative career. I attended my first annual meeting as a new associate dean, participated on a variety of commit- tees in subsequent years, and then had the privilege of serving as CCAS president in the final year of my affiliation. Through- out that time, the organization was a strong voice for the arts and sciences. But more importantly, it was a wonderful network of colleagues helping one another meet the challenges of the distinctive work we do. I’ve not experienced camaraderie so strong in any other professional orga- nization. I’m very grateful for the many, many things I learned from my decanal colleagues. Happy 50th, CCAS! 2006-2007
